Discover Chabuca

Walking into Chabuca feels like stumbling onto a local secret that regulars hope never gets too crowded, yet can’t help recommending anyway. The diner sits at 5928 Butler National Dr, Orlando, FL 32822, United States, tucked into an area where travelers, airport workers, and nearby residents all seem to cross paths. I first stopped in after a long afternoon of errands, expecting a quick bite, but ended up staying longer than planned just watching the rhythm of the place unfold.

The menu leans into comfort food with personality. Think hearty breakfast plates served well past the usual morning rush, lunch options that don’t feel rushed, and daily specials that change depending on what’s fresh and popular that week. On my last visit, I watched a cook explain to a curious customer how their slow-simmered beans are prepared early each morning so the flavors have time to develop. That small interaction said a lot about how seriously the kitchen takes its process. According to data from the National Restaurant Association, diners are more likely to return to restaurants that emphasize consistency and freshness, and that philosophy is clearly in play here.

What stands out most is how the staff interacts with guests. Servers remember names, favorite orders, and even small preferences like extra sauce on the side. One regular told me he stops by three times a week because, in his words, this place feels like my kitchen, just louder and better organized. That sense of familiarity shows up again and again in reviews from locals who value friendly service as much as food quality. Research published by Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration has shown that positive staff engagement directly increases customer satisfaction and repeat visits, which explains why this diner maintains such a loyal following.

Food-wise, the flavors are straightforward but well executed. The grilled meats come out tender, the breakfast plates are generous, and the sides are treated with the same care as the main dishes. I once asked how they keep their eggs consistently fluffy during busy hours, and the answer was refreshingly simple: controlled heat, timing, and no shortcuts. That kind of practical expertise is often overlooked, yet it’s what separates average diners from memorable ones.

Location also plays a big role in its appeal. Being close to major roads and business parks makes it an easy stop whether you’re heading to work, picking someone up nearby, or just exploring Orlando beyond the theme parks. Visitors often mention in reviews that they found it by accident and ended up returning before leaving town. While it’s not a flashy destination, it fills a real need for reliable, satisfying meals in a convenient spot.

There are limits worth noting. During peak hours, especially late mornings on weekends, waits can stretch longer than expected, and parking can feel tight. Still, most guests seem to accept this as part of the experience, trading a little patience for food that feels worth it. Industry surveys consistently show that customers are more tolerant of wait times when they trust the quality of what’s coming, and that trust is something this diner has earned over time.

Between the welcoming atmosphere, carefully prepared menu items, and a location that serves both locals and passersby, Chabuca has carved out a space that feels authentic rather than manufactured. It’s the kind of place where reviews aren’t just star ratings but stories, and where the everyday act of eating out turns into a small, repeatable pleasure.

  • Update, Went there on a Saturday and saw some people coming in and leavin due to lack of receptionist and waiting too long to be seated. They need to improve this if the want to succeed. I guess the people that left will be posting some negative reviews. The owner was nowhere to be seen. I had to wait to long to get another drink. This is an issue that needs improvement. Good peruvian food. Good service. All dishes were tasteful. We had Choritos a la Chalaca, Parmesan scallops, Seco a la Norteña, Chupe, Chaufa and Pollo a la Braza. Even we had some Pisco Sour and Maracuya Sour. All Good, no complains. Gonzalo was very attentive.

  • Wow — this place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic Peruvian flavors. The drinks were refreshing and perfectly made, and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond — super friendly and attentive the whole time. You can really feel the love and pride they put into every detail. Definitely one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommend! ????????

  • Great food! Best tostones I’ve ever had, if you can believe that. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The ceviche was super fresh and flavorful and the lomo saltado was really good, seasoned well and very tender. The dessert, alfajores were delicate, not overly sweet.

  • First time visiting Chabuca and I was pleasantly surprised! The most authentic and original Peruvian flavors are right here, even the burger has that delicious Peruvian touch! We tried leche de tigre, lomo saltado, and tallarines with lomo saltado, and everything was absolutely amazing. Service was excellent, super friendly with my 3 year old son and they made us feel so comfortable. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!

  • Great customer service and great food, couldn't ask for a better experience. Glad we took a chance, food was delicious and price was reasonable for such authentic place. Sorry for the not so great picture of my plate but took a bite and didn't want to stop then remembered I could give it an amazing review and took the picture, the presentation was great though. Stole some of my husband's food as well, it was delicious.

  • This was our first time eating Peruvian food so we asked our server to suggest a couple of traditional dishes. He did great!! He suggested the Fried fish in a seafood sauce. I was a little hesitant but went for it ... it was Delicious!! It had a nice peice of fried fish, shrimp, muscle, and a few others sauted seafood in the most tasty sauce and a few fried yuca,..came with a bowl of rice too. A little rich but the rice helped. My husband went for the Lomo Saltado marinade beef and French fries. His came with rice to absorber the juice. It was priced right, great service. Everything was just sooo good.

  • A True Gem in Orlando – More Than Just Incredible Food Chabuca! If you're looking for the best Peruvian restaurant in Orlando, look no further. Not only was the food absolutely delicious — bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection — but the entire experience was unforgettable. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and beautifully curated, and the service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. However, what truly sets this place apart is the human quality of the people who run it. My mother in law, who is 83 years old and walks with a walker, was with us during our visit. As we were leaving, it began to rain heavily. Without hesitation, one of the owners, Juan Pablo, came outside, grabbed one of the table umbrellas from the patio, and personally walked my subgrade to the car — making sure she stayed dry and safe. That simple yet profound act of kindness meant the world to us. In a world where good service can often feel transactional, this gesture reminded us that true hospitality is rooted in humanity. We didn’t just enjoy a meal — we felt cared for. That kind of heart is rare, and it’s what will keep us coming back again and again. Highly recommended — not just for the food, but for the soul behind it.

  • Great place for Peruvian food. The portions are large and the food tastes wonderful. The deserts too are great. We ended up ordering more than we could finish.
